I am very pleased to announce that, following the recent Annual General Meeting, I am undertaking a newly created role for Surrey Rugby, that of head of Charity and Community Engagement. This is the next step for our initiative to promote work already being undertaken by clubs within the county, which involves our dedication of resource to supporting clubs with their existing community focussed initiatives with a view to helping others map their own journey for new projects.

With the above in mind, I have already started to visiting clubs who have existing community projects which are aimed at broader inclusion of their catchment community across all ages and cultures, especially those who would not otherwise have access to the social and "inclusion" benefits offered by the rugby family.

I know there are some great initiatives currently across Surrey, and I would be delighted to hear about your project (existing or potential), especially if there could be an element of promotional support which Surrey Rugby could help with.
