Why we need volunteers?
Volunteers literally run rugby clubs, from the President to the Parking. Without them it wouldn’t be possible to offer access to rugby from Minis through to Walking Rugby with volunteers coaching and also helping manage and maintain club grounds. Volunteering with Surrey Rugby
While we don't need people to manage our club in the usual sense, we run many areas of rugby within Surrey that require volunteer support. For example, we run the league competitions, so have League Secretaries at every level and age group. We manage discipline issues for all 65 clubs so have a Discipline Secretary for adults and juniors as well as panels to sit for hearings. We manage Club Development, Rugby Development, Volunteer Recognition and county finances. One area we need a lot of volunteers is within Rep Rugby. Here we look for Team Managers and Coaches from U16 through to adult.
