Bruno is a fairly recent addition to the Management Board of Surrey Rugby having joined 3 years ago at the suggestion of one of the Past Presidents. The first 2 of these years were very disjointed due to Covid, so this season is the first full term as Treasurer. During the Covid period, though, Bruno also assisted the insolvency sub-committee of the RFU, resulting in the revised Regulation 5 to improve the financial monitoring and transparency of clubs.
His professional background is financial risk management, both in banking and commercial environments, including working for companies in France, Belgium and the USA. He is also Trustee of a charity which promotes volunteer work experience in developing countries for less fortunate young people who would otherwise not get the opportunity.
As a player, Bruno played for Old Tiffinians for many years – from schoolboy days through to captaining a very successful Vet’s side, and in his youth played a number of times for an unbeaten Surrey Schools team. Whilst at Old Tiff’s he also served on the rugby club committee and was Hon. Secretary of the Old Tiffinians’ Association.
