Ryan has been with Sutton & Epsom RFC since 2004. Within 1 week of taking his son there, he stepped over the white line to help coaching Kinders! He took on the role of Minis Fixture Sec soon after and held it for 8 years. A year later he took on the role of Festival Coordinator and ran over 60 festivals over the next 12 years. Finally he became their Chair of Minis for 7 years and 1 year as Mini & Junior Chair!

He joined Surrey Rugby as Chair of Mini Rugby 9 years ago and has been involved in implementing some big changes within Mini Rugby over the last 9 years and has been instrumental in delivering the new RFU age grade regulations across the CB and transitioning of players from Minis into Juniors alongside the core values and philosophy. Ryan is also responsible for Governance Regulation and Discipline of Mini Rugby.

In his professional capacity Ryan works within local government and played rugby for old Suttonians. Outside rugby, Ryan lives for Scouting and runs two Scout groups and 3 sections and always says “if my wife would let me I would live in a tent!"
