Having played women’s rugby for over ten years, Sue got asked to ‘attend Club lunches’ as the new Guildford RFC Club Secretary…that’s all she had to do! Fast forward another 10 years and she is now the county’s Honorary Secretary. She originally joined the Committee as a Club Representative of Clubs Level 5-8, then progressed to Chair of Marketing & Communications, and then onto Honorary Secretary. As Honorary Secretary she oversees the Surrey Office and is the key contact for any official RFU communication and governance. Sue ‘graduated’ from the RFU Leadership In Union course in 2019, has been involved the RFU Community Group for Communications and GMS Data Management, and is also a founder member of the Surrey Rugby Women’s Network.
In her spare time away from rugby she enjoys spending time having lunch and cocktails with friends, her retired guide dog, time with her husband (who is a referee…but lovely!), and ….oh and actually working in Business Development and Marketing… you can see her order of priorities here….One thing hasn’t changed though….she still enjoys attending Club lunches!
