Jools and his family joined Chobham RFC in 2015 on their return from upon Singapore. Before long Jools became Age Group Manager in his son’s age group. In 2019 Jools contacted Surrey Rugby asking how he could become involved. Initially he took over the U14s Waterfall Cup and continued running the Waterfall and QUINS Cup for the U16s as well as the Surrey Rugby U16s squad. He recently became the Surrey Youth Chair and is transitioning into this role with guidance and support from wider members of the Surrey Rugby team. Jools continues to run the Surrey U17s Squad and is looking forward to taking on the U16s squad as they form in early 2023. Jools said, “its not about who wins the cup, its about providing fun and enjoyable rugby to all in Surrey”. Jools openly admits to never having played rugby and is still, even after 10 years, learning some of the technicalities and laws.
In his professional career, Jools has built and run companies providing software services in Geneva, Singapore, Sydney and Skopje and now runs his own company based out of sunny Berkshire. When the rugby season is over, Jools enjoys hiking, sailing and, not wanting to be too far from a rugby pitch, is a grounds man at Chobham RFC.
