Surrey Rugby

Graham Shaw

My professional background for the last 20 years has been in IT, Product and Transformation roles having worked for Diageo, the Financial Conduct Authority and most recently Kimberly Clark. Alongside this I have also been a Trustee of Sherborne in the Community for 10 years supporting young people in London and enabling Depaul UK to deliver their services from the charity’s building near London Bridge.

After playing at school, my involvement in rugby within Surrey started by coaching my kids at Warlingham RFC as well as the occasional playing appearance and representing the Women’s and Girls section on the club committee. After retiring from playing due to injury, I focussed on coaching in multiple environments. Initially coaching within the Surrey boys DPP program before it stopped, I then took a role with Harlequins DPP at Brighton and Cobham. In parallel I started coaching with the Surrey girls program and have developed on to be the Lead of the U18 County program and U16 PDG Foundation. More recently I’ve become the head coach of the Met Police RFC and started coaching with the Scotland Qualified program.
