Caroline Pitt

Caroline joined Surrey Rugby as Constituent Body Age Grade Discipline Secretary (CBAGDS) in 2021. The role of CBAGDS has been present in Surrey since 2021, separated from the adult discipline process, to ensure it is child-friendly and follows the best practices for age-grade rugby. Caroline has been serving as the CBAGDS since 2021, bringing with her many years of experience as a Team Manager, Junior Chair, and Vice Chair of Rugby in her local club, Old Rutlishians.

Caroline’s role is to provide guidance and help through the process. It is important the player's case is concluded as soon as possible, especially at this level, and the outcome is satisfactory in accordance with the sanction table and is signed off by Caroline.

Since 2023 season, Surrey Age Grade Discipline have been part of the RFU Alternative Sanction process which sits along side the current sanction table and offers a “child-centric” procedure, based on the RFU core values. It should ideally discipline, mentor guide and educate the age grade player as part of their development. It is important the process helps educate and reduce the chance of reoffending.
