Discipline Secretary

Sarah joined the Surrey Disciplinary Committee in 2023, assuming the role of Assistant Disciplinary Secretary. With a robust background in rugby administration and a deep-seated passion for the sport, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current position.

Beyond her role at the Surrey Disciplinary Committee, Sarah is actively engaged in various capacities within the rugby community. She has been an integral part of Esher’s RFC disciplinary team, where she has honed her skills in managing and overseeing disciplinary proceedings. Additionally, Sarah plays a pivotal role in the management of the U14s Esher boys team and serves as the Assistant Youth Chair at Esher RFC, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for young players.

In her professional life, Sarah serves as a Cloud Technology Lead at Oracle Cloud Computing Services. Through her work, she manages one of the largest retail customers, operating within a global network of Corporation managed data centres. This experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of diverse organizational structures and the importance of maintaining discipline and adherence to established protocols.

Sarah's journey in rugby administration and her love for the sport trace back to her early days. Her involvement in rugby began when her eldest child started playing at Esher RFC in 2010. Her passion for rugby was ignited during her school years, where she actively participated in the sport and represented London Welsh. This lifelong association with rugby has instilled in her a deep appreciation for the values of teamwork, integrity, and fair play, which she endeavours to uphold in her roles within the rugby community and beyond.

In her role as Disciplinary Secretary, Sarah is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and fairness in disciplinary proceedings. She aims to leverage her extensive experience and insights from both the rugby community and her professional endeavours to ensure that disciplinary processes are conducted transparently, equitably, and in accordance with established guidelines. Sarah is dedicated to fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and inclusivity within the Surrey rugby community, thereby contributing to the overall growth and development of the sport.
