VACANCY FOR WOMEN & GIRLS DIRECTOR OF RUGBY – REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS
Surrey Rugby would like to wish Chris Dodd the very best as he moves into his new role as the Head Coach for the London and South East U20s Divisional Programme. This means that he is unable to continue as Director of Rugby for Women and Girls – sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day!
Chris has been involved with the Surrey Rugby Representative Women and Girls Programme for the last 4 years both as a coach and most recently as Director of Rugby and mentor for the current coaches.
He has been instrumental in setting the County pathway for the development of players from U15 through to the Senior Ladies and we would like to thank him for his dedication and commitment to improving the standard of coaching and development of players. Whilst he has been Lead Coach and then DoR the number and standard of the players coming through the County Programme has increased significantly and onward to Centre of Excellence and National Honours. A legacy he can be proud of.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Surrey County Rugby, we are looking to recruit a new volunteer for this role.
The Director of Rugby (DoR) role is a coach mentor/coach developer role. The new DoR must have a strong passion for developing Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches.
Your role will include observational analysis of session plans and sessions with your lead coaches.
Your role will also include supporting your lead coaches to deliver the Female County programme within Age Grade Regulation guidelines.
At the heart of your role you will have a Coaching through Games approach along with Coaching the whole player ethos.
