Bec Belles RFC is currently looking for a coach to join the development team for the 2020/21 season. This is a great opportunity to enhance your experience in coaching, supporting a group of development level athletes and to expand community rugby in South West London.
About us
Bec Belles RFC is a newly formed ladies club based at Bec Old Boys RFC. We are an aspirational and highly social rugby club gaining lots of traction in the local area.The club's focus for the 2020/21 season is to develop our existing group of players and to attract players, both experienced and new to the game.Our aim is to play at least 7 friendly fixtures in the 2020/21 season so that we can enter a league the following year.In order to achieve our seasons goals, we need the support of a coach who can identify the level of the current group of players and drive their development.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is starting their coaching career and has a passion for growing women's rugby.
What you will be doing:
- Coaching the team at midweek training (Monday & Thursday) and managing the team on game days
- Working with the club's Head Coach to ensure that training and development plans are in place
- Developing existing players and attracting new players, including those who have never played the game before
- Transferring your enthusiasm and knowledge of rugby to give the players, the team and the wider club the best chance of success
Who we are ideally looking for:
- You possess a background in rugby at a high level or of coaching development teams (no need for this to be with women)
- You enjoy coaching those around you and find the development of rugby players rewarding
- You have a passion for community and women's rugby
- You are able to connect with the current group and understand their needs
- You have a positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach and are willing to align with the club's aims
