Guildford Rugby Football Club (GRFC) are looking for a Backs Coach for their ambitious Championship 2 Ladies Team, the Guildford Gazelles, who finished fifth this year. We have a strong squad of players, five of whom have been selected to play for Surrey County this season.
We are seeking a Coach to join us in our Centenary Season, who is a good communicator with excellent leadership qualities. They should be enthusiastic, personable, have good organisational skills and be passionate about the development of Ladies' rugby at Guildford. We are looking to take our successful squad forward, with ambition to win the league next season, create a development/2nd XV and continue building strong links with our U11, U13 and U15 girls' teams, developing a pipeline of home-grown players.
The Backs Coach will join our current coaching team and with the assistance of our committee, will be responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of senior players.
Our ideal candidate would be a Coach with an RFU coaching qualification (Level 2 or above). GRFC would fully support the right candidate to complete these courses if not already held.
Successful applicants may be entitled to travel expenses.
We are committed to a structured training regime and are looking for a strong Backs Coach to help take the team to the next level. The current training schedule is Tuesday and Thursday from 1900 - 2100 hours, with Sunday as regular game days.
